I think I am going to use the term "bedlam" in describing the chaos; it's also going to be a humorous way I can describe the academy (no worries, it's not an insane asylum; I'm just joking)

I just went ahead and had my own two characters interact. I decided that I would make the introductions awkward, just because that's technically how things work when you're not sure what else to talk about.

I have a feeling I may have already written myself into a dead end already... Paul's a salesman, and as salesmen do, he's taking advantage of people to get money. I wonder how many of our characters would fall for that?

What's with all these characters wearing black? I am noticing that as the intros move along...

My characters might have hints of black but I don't think any of them are like, strictly black. Maybe Delphine with her shirt but that's really it. Ira wears brown, Corrigan wears blue, Cassius wears tons of purple, etc.

I noticed that too. Maybe they're just goths who hate the world because they weren't from the world, and because people don't like them.

Well, I didn't know if everyone wearing black was just the choice of the day, or what, but my own character has it in the 'attire' section of his sheet where he doesn't wear color except on very rare occasions, like a personality quirk. He's not really goth or anything, he just has this weird thing with bright colors.

My other character is just wearing black slacks, her silky camisole is red and brightly-patterned.

Mine has those colorless clothes too, that's why he appeared in those.

If your class rotations are like running a marathon, running shoes make sense. That was my own high school. Now that I'm at a college with this huge, sprawling campus, it makes even more sense now than it did before.

That's true. But having phys ed on the first day of school is a little out of the ordinary, isn't it?

Personally, I wear running shoes to school every day, not only because I find it to be comfortable, but because I run for the track team, and I'd rather not carry around an extra pair of sneakers all day. It's just more convenient to wear them all day. They're all pretty stylish, if I do say so myself
