Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Venom Snake is actually the medic in Ground Zeroes so Kojima can write his way out of Big Boss "dying" in Metal Gear.

Also, Eli is Liquid Snake but that would have had a little more impact if Konami hadn't removed literally the last couple hours of the game.
