♦Jurassic Park♦
The sun began to set as the boat with the visitors for Jurassic Park has arrived. The island had a forest with plains and of course the cages for the dinosaurs.
That was until suddenly, when someone turned off the electric fences. No one was aware of this currently and everyone continued as normal.
For now.
Meanwhile, Spike was in his cage, hunting for smaller dinosaurs. Until he bumped into the fence, he noticed it didn't shock him.

"Are you the tour guide? Where's the Ultimasaurus?"
"Yeah, let's go there first!"
"Mom, I'm hungry..."
Sighing through her nose, Dot put on a bright smile and ushered the tourists off the boats. "Right this way, please! We'll have a short bathroom break and start the tour in about fifteen minutes. Don't be late!"
This was unbelievable. She had finally talked her way onto the T. rex feeding schedule, and on the very night, one of the tour directors calls in sick and they decide to throw an intern out instead. Dot twiddled her thumbs and shuffled slowly in place, still grinning so hard her teeth hurt, as twenty-eight people whined to eachother and struggled to lift backpacks and generally made a fuss over everything they could in the little plaza. The more she watched them, the more they seemed less civilized than the beasts Dot was used to tending to. Oh, what she would give to see a T. rex up close and personal...
But of course, that wouldn't happen tonight, except on the other side of a maximum security fence. After fifteen minutes Dot waved her flock into one of the waiting buses and, after the other tour crews were ready, the fleet of bright green and yellow vehicles rumbled out along the rail, through the massive gate, and into the park proper.
Even with the quiet babbling inside the bus, Dot found for a moment that her smile was genuine. She might not be a big people person, but there was something about the amazed smile of a kid who looks out the window and sees a distant pack of Diplodocus for the first time, the "woooooah!"s and the "cool!"s. Dot chuckled and let the tourists have a few minutes of awed gaping before she stood up and faced the bus.
"Alright, everyone," she began, one hand stretched out to grip the railing for stability, "I know everyone wants to see the Ultimasaurus, but we've saved her for last. Don't worry, don't worry!" she assured, "the first stop on our tour is sure to be an old favorite. If you look out the right window, you'll get a good look at a few Tyrannosaurus Rex!"

A few hundred meters away... Sue(T-rex) was in her enclosure. She had only recently been shipped from one of the sister islands, and was still oblivious to her new paddock. Nevertheless, she could smell the peculiar scent of diesel coming from the tour jeeps and walked to examine them in curiosity.

"Ah keep it down, ya big galloot..."
A shaggy red-haired man, reclining in his swivel chair, rapped a fist on the thick block of plexiglass that separated him from a 60-foot-high view of Ultimasaurus's complex. "Can'tcha see Ah'm tryn'na read?"
Alp grinned. It wasn't like the thing would hear him, but talking to it had become a habit in the weeks he'd been on the Isla Nublar interior security team. Watching the beasts wasn't all of his job, but even when he had papers to review or crowds of tourists to watch, Alp couldn't help but sneak a view of the monsters any chance he got. Ultimasaurus was his favorite, by far. What a freak of nature, what an insult to itself human civilization had created, a beast of monstrous proportions and armed to the teeth with anything it needed to stomp and skewer and mash to pieces...
Much as he liked his job, Alp knew something that all the fresh young faces that hadn't seen hunting like he had couldn't possibly know. It was an unspoken secret that he and the other grizzled veterans in Interior Security knew without saying; they gave eachother looks, grins, whenever Ultimasaurus stalked and leaped with surprising silence for a creature of her size on the cow that was to be lunch. He and they understand the caliber of their weapons and the caliber of each other; each knew that the others knew, and so were like friends with an in-joke. Alp looked at his rifle, mounted over there on the wall. It was tall and lean and packed a punch that could rip a man apart at a hundred yards. This Alp knew for sure. But the secret that Alp and those few others shared was that the fearsome weapon would do nothing against the armored hide of Ultimasaurus or any of the other large beasts that stomped the forests of Isla Nublar. Alp envisioned the scenario often. She would come at him, roaring, like a semi on legs, and he would fire, and the bullet would thunk and crush itself against the plates of Ultima's head-shield or rebound off her scaly torso. If he was lucky, he'd get her in the mouth, and she might feel a stab of pain before she ripped him to pieces.
Peace of mind, that's what Alp was there for. If the monsters ever got loose, no one could do a damn thing. Alp chuckled and went back to his magazine. "S'good thing y'ain't never gettin outta here, eh, old girl?"
~~~
Dot chuckled at the violent gasps that ensued as one of her favorite T. rex's ambled towards the bus. Some of the kids even jumped in their seats. "Don't you worry, y'all, that's just Sue saying hello! You might recognize her from the brochure. See all those big white feathers?"
But, of course, no one was listening. Dot raised an eye at the bus driver, who grinned back; even he was watching Sue, which might've been a problem if the buses weren't fixed to their rails. Sue turned her head to look curiously at the bus and its occupants with those massive, alien eyes. There it was; mammal and reptile, staring back at eachother across sixty-five million years and a few metal cables. Dot grinned like a child - maybe running the tours wasn't so bad, after all. "Say hi to Sue, everyone!"
The creature was quite sick of hunting cows and goats because he no longer found any thrill in hunting them. He ripped the wires surrounding his paddock to go off and hunt something worth the energy. He finds a female employee. She was young, week and had nothing but a small pistol to defend herself. Without thinking, he rushes towards them and eats her whole. He had never felt quite a thrill in all his life. He runs off to find the tour bus and see if he kill the people in the bus.
Sue shuddered in sight of the massive theropod, having not seen any other threat in life. Her initial reaction was to flee, however, the dense undergrowth of vegetation behind her obstructed her ability to do that. Her only option now was to fight. The Rex charged out of it's enclosure, effortlessly dispatching the wire cables and nearly toppling over the jeeps. There the two dinosaurs stood toe to toe, ready for anything.
Suddenly, Spike had broken through the fences.
It was unknown to where he went, but he was off hunting somewhere. Until he stumbled upon Sue, which looked like fresh meat. Spike bit Sue's neck and pushed her down with his humongous body. Spike saw the Ultimasaurus as well, wanting to hunt him as well, Spike got distracted and walked away from Sue to get to the Ultimasaurus.
Spike attempted to push down the Ultimasaurus with all his force, and then biting his neck.
Sue managed to land on her feet, avoiding further injury. She quickly got up and went for spike, latching on to his neck with her massive jaws and violently shaking him in the process.
By now, the park authorities had been alerted, and they were on their way.
The Ultimasaurus backed down and communicated with the other rexes, he promised food, shelter and good fun. He barfed out the remains of his last meal and offered them to the other rexes. He wanted freedom and he knew they did too.
Re: ♦Jurassic Park♦
If Dot had had time to think, perhaps the only words suited to a pair of prehistoric killing machines snapping through their cages as if the metal cables were nothing but painted PVC were as follows:
Oh my God!
As it were, she (along with the twenty-something other passengers) didn't have time to think much of anything before a wave of instinctual terror swept over them all. Children cried, men screamed, and Dot stood dumbfounded.
At first there was only one, but then it seemed as if an army of tyrannosaurs had rained down from above to smash everything in sight. Dot stood, dumbfounded, unable even to muster a few words of futile comfort to calm the sea of panicked tourists that lay before her. But Dot didn't stand for much longer. Instinctively, the bus driver flattened the gas pedal, and sent the machine screaming down the railway. The painted image of a comically-smiling dinosaur on the front of the bus bore down on a pair of T. rex, and as Dot turned from where she'd fallen on the floor of the bus, she caught a rapidly-approaching glimpse of her favorite dinosaur, Sue, with a male's neck in her throat, through the front windshield...
Dammit daggit nag-fraggin dabbit nabbit!
Alp hauled his fifty pounds of gear through the halls of the security station. His worst fears had come true; the Devil walked the Earth. Worse, it was his job to stop it. He was the only one on Ultimasaurus duty today, so it would be a good quarter hour before any of the other specialists arrived from their posts elsewhere in the park.
How did Ultima break loose? He should've been shocked to ribbons by the electric fence... Unless the power had been cut, or something like that. Who on Earth would be so stupid...
Well, there wasn't time to think about it. Alp burst through the door to the garage, where a half-dozen park staff were cowering and pretending to know what the hell was going on. Alp's mean brown eyes flicked over the crowd, saw someone he recognized - and who, he reckoned, could steel her nerves to be of use in this situation - and waved her over.
"Drive! Drive!" he shouted, pointing to the nearest jeep, and threw his gear in the back. The frightened draftee hesitated for a moment, looked around at her companions, and hopped into the jeep with a gulp.
Fifteen minutes for the other technicians to arrive... Unless they had problems of their own. Alp suppressed a shudder. He didn't care to think about what would happen if the whole grid had gone down. Alp sent a brief radio message out as protocol demanded, not even recognizing the words he was saying, and took his rifle out of its case. The jeep pulled out of the garage as Alp threw open the top and peeked out, head and shoulders and rifle barrel sticking out like a mouse from its hole. There was Ultimasaurus, stomping down the railway. If she got to some of the tour buses... Well, fifteen minutes was plenty of time for a few hundred people to die. Alp cursed and drew the rifle out horizontal, steadying himself against the roof of the jeep as the wind whipped past him and sent his ragged red hair flapping out like a dry mop.
The rifle used the heaviest caliber Alp could find this side of the law. "Might be 'nuff to piss the bastard off," Alp grimaced to himself. "Julia! Be ready to turn off!"
"What!? What did you sa-"
With Ultimasaurus's retreating rear end in his sights, Alp squeezed the trigger and a sharp, booming CRACK echoed across the park.
Spike refused the food and heard the loud *CRACK!* noise.
Spike saw Alp and began to chase him, roaring and running toward the soon-to-be snack. Meanwhile, some Velociraptors have climbed through their cages and begin to wander the museum. The Velociraptors hunt and begin to chase visitors around.
Soon enough, all of the dinosaurs have escaped and are now wandering Jurassic Park. Alarms went off, warning visitors of what is happening. Velociraptors run around the forests as Spike stomps the ground.
Meanwhile, Delta the Velociraptor has escaped as well. Delta begins to run toward Alp to attempt to save him from Spike, but doesn't know how long he has before Spike catches up on Alp.
Delta is quickly arriving toward Alp, you can see Delta in the distance.
"Veer off! Now now now!"
Well, Alp had gotten someone's attention. The sight of a T. rex bearing down on you like a monstrous, muscly chicken chasing a grasshopper was enough to chill Alp's blood. He was a hunter by trade; he hated being the prey.
Alp pulled the bolt on his rifle and turned to face the advancing jaws of the approaching beast. He frowned as he leveled the barrel. "Now how 'bout that," Alp hissed, squeezing one eye shut. There were only a few T. rex in the park so far, and even fewer males. This one Alp recognized; the boys called him Spike.
"You remember me, Spike?" Alp whispered to himself, grinning. Spike was one of the clever ones. Alp used to toss things at him from his perch in the observation tower, see how far away he could bean him on the nose. "Well, betcha will after this, hehe..."
CRACK
Julia, meanwhile, did her best to hold the jeep on a straight course. Her hands were slick with sweat and slid along the steering wheel; she gripped it like a vice with white knuckles. She stared straight ahead but saw little - she'd driven this road a few times, so muscle memory kept the jeep on track, but when a speck appeared in the distance Julia snapped from her terrified reverie. It looked like a small bird, or maybe a dog, or...
A velociraptor?
There was nowhere to turn. The thumps of Spike's footsteps behind her became mashed together with the thumping of her heart. Julia squeezed her eyes shut and gave the jeep some more gas, hoping the little dinosaur down the road would have the sense to duck out of the way before the jeep got to it.
The entire park went into a state of emergency. Nobody could've expected this, and evacuations were already being planned.
Whilst Alp attempted to subdue the other dinosaurs, Sue wandered off, north of the island. Her predatory instincts had kicked in.
Spike stops chasing Alp, only standing and recognizing him.
Meanwhile, Delta begins to run toward Julia, in an attempt to help her as he noticed that the dinosaurs have broken free. He begins to catch up with her and makes a screeching noise, sounding more calm than any other velociraptor.
While Sue was wandering off, a few Compsognathus have broken free, being one of the smallest dinosaurs they are free for the hunting. Velociraptors begin to lurk in the jungle, waiting for prey to pass by.
Spike only sits idly, looking at Alp.
Spike made a slight growl, showing loyalty. Spike gets slightly closer to Alp, looking at the item he has. The sky is now a night sky and it begins to heavily rain as thunder strikes nearby.
The Ultimasaurus sinks his teeth into the back of a bus with some young tourists still in it. He manages to tear off a piece of the roof from the bus and starts eating the tourists within it.
*LOUD SCREAMS*
The Ultimasaurus had ate enough food today. He walks very deep into the lush forests of Isla Nublar and toke a nap near the West Dock.
As Sue casually walked into the forest, she spots a large pack of velociraptors prowling the area. Something was driving their scent, she quietly followed them. It lead to a large triceratops carcass. Something the T-Rex was very familiar with. Sue let out a loud grunt and immediately sent the raptors fleeing.
After days without food, she could finally have a feast.
"Julia... Stop the truck."
Julia couldn't believe her ears. In fact, she chose not to believe them, until a sharp pat on her shoulder made her gasp and look around to Alp's frowning face. "Stop the dern truck, Julia!"
She floored the brake pedal, and the jeep skidded to an ugly halt - right in front of the little velociraptor. Julia assumed Alp had seen it, but when she looked up, Alp was staring back at the T. rex.
"Lookit that," he was mumbling, almost to himself, and Alp had an odd look in his eyes. "Y'ever see anything like thatun before, Julia?"
Julia looked. There sat the beast, staring back at them, only a few hundred yards away. It growled and began to come closer; Alp cursed. Hurriedly he reloaded his rifle and fired it into the dirt. "Whatcha want, big guy? Huh? Whatcha tryin ta say?"
Ears ringing from the crack of the rifle, Julia could do nothing but blink at the monstrous Spike. She kept her foot tensed on the brake pedal.
Dot didn't wake up for quite some time. Her head felt like someone was working at it with a hammer; she lay there, clutching her temple, on the cold plastic floor of the bus.
But she could see sunlight above her. Dot blinked and scowled at the sky. Why'd it have to be so bright? And wasn't there supposed to be a roof there?
Then it came back to her - the sight of massive jaws tearing open the back of the bus, right before it would have collided with Sue and the other T. rex. Blood, lots of blood. As if triggered by the memory, the smell of something awful assaulted Dot's nostrils, and she turned over on her side and wretched under the benches.
A few minutes later Dot emerged from the wreckage of the bus, alone. Her mind pieced together what had happened - after she fell, there'd been panic, and she must have been trampled and forgotten in a stampede of desperate tourists. Well, she was alone now, and someone had better track those fools down before they got themselves eaten...
Dot sighed, rested for a minute against the back of the bus, and set off down the road - keeping an ear open for the sounds of heavy feet.
Re: ♦Jurassic Park♦
Spike backed away. He then turned around and wandered off, into the jungle where it was misty and dark.
Delta ran away as well, running toward the wrecked bus where Dot was staying. He was fast so he could get there quickly. Delta slowed down and only the sound of clicking footsteps from his nails and slight growls could be heard. Delta sniffed the air, smelling a human nearby.
The sound of roaring could be heard back in the jungle. The large stomps of Spike could be heard as he was walking away, as rain was raging down on the island. It became hard to see, requiring a light for humans.
But then, a pack of feral and untrained Velociraptors leaped in front of Alp. They hissed and growled, waiting to leap onto Alp as they slowly got closer to him. Another Velociraptor was behind Julia, they surrounded the two.
They growled and screeched, waiting to have some fresh meat.
Re: ♦Jurassic Park♦
Alp had begun to feel that sweetest of emotions, relief - he had looked back from the retreating Spike with the smile of a man who had tripped and almost fell into hell, a smile that spread to Julia's face. The two began to laugh.
Then they heard the growls, and froze. The raptors had seemingly come out of nowhere, and the significance of their presence wasn't lost on either of the pair. Alp ducked quickly back through the sunroof.
"The fences're down..." Julia began, talking as if in a trance.
Alp gulped and, wide-eyed, sniffed something back into his nose. "Cross the whole city." Suddenly he drew his mouth into a vicious snarl and worked the bolt of his gun with a clack. "Well don't sit and stare, Julia, gun it! Get us the flyin' hell outta here!"
Julia didn't reply; the engine replied for her, and with a roar the jeep lurched into motion towards a gap in the circle of raptors. "Mister Tunning? Uh, Mister Tunning, sir?"
"Yeah?"
"These... They can't outrun a jeep, right?"
Alp's mind was racing. He wiped sweat from his brow. "Kid... Kid, shut up and drive, Ah'm workin' on it."
Well, that was all the answer Julia needed.
~~~
Meanwhile, not too far away, Dot's heart sank as she heard exactly what she was listening for. She froze and, moving as slowly as possible, turned to look over her shoulder.
There - movement, through a gap in the trees! Dot couldn't be sure what it was, but it was small, and walked like a raptor. Her mind desperately tried to recall everything she had learned about raptors. How was their sense of smell? Was it better to run in zigzags or in a straight line or to not move at all? Could she fight it and win? Craaaap.
Hopefully the smell of blood and bodies from the bus would attract its attention. Dot kept perfectly still, eyes fixed on the distant shape, barely daring to breathe.

Sue could catch the scent of a dinosaur from miles away. Having already finished her carcass, she left in search of the intruder. Her footsteps thumping in the mud.

The raptors begin to chase the jeep. They seem to be almost as fast as it, starting to catch up with it. One of them screeches and leaps onto the jeep. The rest continue to chase, reaching for the fresh meat.
The raptor on the jeep begins to scratch up the plating. It then starts to break through the windows with it's arms, the claws are extremely sharp and it reaches Julia. The velociraptor manages to cut her arm giving Julia a nasty scratch.
~~
Meanwhile, a few velociraptors where Sue is prepare to leap onto Sue's back. They know that a Tyrannosaurus's weakness is getting to the unreachable areas.
The raptors leap onto Sue's tail, and begin to bite it.
While that was happening, Spike ended up in the driveway of the museum. He waits and sniffs for prey.
Delta got closer to the wrecked bus, before looking through a broken window to see Dot. He screeches slightly and walks toward Dot by climbing through the window. Delta didn't want to kill Dot, he wanted to help.
Delta got close to Dot's face and sniffed it, before recognizing her.

Noticing the raptors, Sue quickly gets on her feet. Shaking and biting. She manages to get all of them off, then proceeds to kill the remaining. By now, she's exhausted. But still continues toward the edge of the forest.
