I imagine the characters pointing out this cliche.

Super Hero: Now, I suppose this is a part where you tell me your evil plan, then put me in an unnecessarily complicated trap?

Dr. Evulz: Isn't that sentence already a cliche in itself?

Super Hero: Well, eventually this very dialogue would be another cliche.

Dr. Evulz: Then this very cliche mentioning that cliche referencing a cliche pointing out a cliche will also be repeated so many times that the audience would get sick of it.

Super Hero: Did you know that Leaning In The 4th Wall, which we are basically doing right now, is considered a trope, which according to numbnuts is basicallu a cliche?

Dr. Evulz: What's a cliche?

Super Hero: What's the fourth wall?

...

Dr Evulz: Anyway, to my point; NOW YOU MUST DIE!

*traps Super Hero*

Nice person is convinced that nobody likes them, and must be convinced otherwise.

How all of it could have been prevented had one member of the party just waited for the other to finish their thought instead of running off half-way through the explanation.

I prefer anti-heroes to tragic heroes who are overtly edgy.

Anti heroes can be great when done correctly.

Sure, why not?

How about this one:

The guy you assume is the main character from the previews gets killed partway through.
