Action against Slime?

I came back here after I saw DarkLord979 got suspended again from the Sporum, his thread also got removed.

I don't know what we can do, but I don't like how Slime thinks he can enforce these rules while the other SporeMasters are being respectable towards us.

I think the problem stems from the SporeMasters being incredibly divided as a group. You have people like Slime who just want to ban everyone, specifically people who don't appeal to his opinions and like to goof around like Sharples and myself, and then you have chill SMs like Doom and Drew who are fun and just want everyone to be happy.

I would've preferred to avoid something like this, but I think we need a village uprising over the buttsecks.

I was going to post a thread on this defending DarkLord and the ridiculous suspensions given. But seeing how pointless this would be I decided not to. But of course he can basically veto that because he doesn't speak to the community, only what he thinks is right "Respect the decisions of the moderators and staff".

This is just going to keep continuing. It has been steadily for the past few months. I at least want Slime to be a little harsher on the suspensions. If anything I'd love for him to follow the suspension policy. I mean having Eropstoad suspended for seven days is pretty silly, but obviously he can enforce it. Despite in previous history the word was pretty much in the norm.

I don't think right now posting a thread will help so I'm going to post this PM in the Silent Scaffold. On behalf of those who have to face this, if you want I will not show any responses you send to me.

Well nobody is really saying it so he shouldn't be able to ban you if you do.

And if he does and it's a lot of people, the absurd number of people banned will pressure mods like Doom to unban people and step in.

Yeah that was bullshit. Didn't Doom even say that cursing in RPs is fine? Like he posted that somewhere. I'll have to find it.

I would make a thread but I really don't want to get back into the rotation limbo again. Or even worse, if Slime decides to message Bazajaytee and see what we're doing. Because unfortunately, he's in the right. :/ I just don't want to cause yet another stir. It's just resulted in us having more suspensions and then letting time pass on so people don't care about what happened anymore.

Yeah, there's only so much I can do to try and work towards getting users unbanned. I mean I could do a full face-turn and just unban everyone in a community incident but then I'll come under immediate fire from the other mods & baza for doing so (unless the circumstance of the bans were huge breach-of-moderation per say). Yet if I do nothing, I'll most likely come under fire by the community and then we'll be back to Square 1 on general relations. Change comes slowly and it's something I can try and work towards to get a happy medium between Community/Moderation but I do need the time to pull it off.

Us SM's had a private discussion about the RP section & censor-bypassing for IC posts a couple of months back. The bottom line is that it's generally fine as long as it's not absolutely excessive or legitimately offensive. For example, the general verbal-bombs of 'Fuck' & 'Shit' and related swears is fine in moderation but saying 'Nigger' 10 times in an IC post is extremely frowned upon. Having a general swear word present in every single line of dialogue or a large number of times per paragraph is also frowned upon.

@WeLurk, Do you have an original version of the RP post which Slime posted towards? I would be interested in reviewing it myself once I get some time tomorrow.

"WOWIE, AND WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO GO OUT THERE!" Papyrus marveled. "DRONE TECHNOLOGY IS THE BEST!"

Kronk kicked the door open to Papyrus's room. "I got spinach puffs!" Kronk shouted. "Careful," he said, sliding the plate in front of Papyrus, "they're hot."

"YAY!" Papyrus cheered. "SPINACH PUFFS!" He flipped one into his palm and scarfed it down. "SANS HAS BEEN SLEEPING FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW," Papyrus said, munching.

"Yo, Trashcan," Kronk shouted down the hallway. "I brought your favorites."

Trashcanhead kicked down his door, which was promptly reattatched by a drone, and rushed over to Kronk's side, quickly popping a puff into his mouth. "Sheeeeit, thanks man," he said as he chewed his food.

"No problemo," Kronk replied with a grin. "The kids at the new Mesoamerican Imitation Eatery are gettin' real good at making these. Of course, they had an artisan's help, but now I just let 'em roll. Doesn't mean I don't pop in here and there to help 'em out, though. Speed up the orders. I've got fingers like lightning," Kronk explained.

"EITHER WAY, THESE ARE GOOD AS USUAL! NYEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus said, stuffing another one into his jaws.

"Like sex in my mouth," Trashh stated, shoving another spinach puff into his chompers.

"SAY, TRASHY," Papyrus asked, kicking back on his race car bed. "YOU THINK KRONK AND I CAN MAKE IT BIG IN THE CATERING BUSINESS? YOU SAW THE WAY THOSE PUFFS AND SPAGHETTI PLATES SOLD LIKE HOTCAKES BACK AT THE CONCERT, RIGHT?"

"Man, we made bank that day," Kronk said.

"Oh hells yeah. You guys woud be like... Fuckin' swimmin' in money and women if you guys went into business and shiz," replied Trashcanhead.

"FUNNY HOW A COUPLE OF NOBODIES LIKE US," Papyrus said to Kronk, "COULD FIND OURSELVES SUCH A BRILLIANT DREAM IN OUR PASSION FOR CULINARY CONCOCTIONS!"

"Yeah," Kronk said, smiling at Papyrus. "Though I'd say you're not exactly a nobody, Paps. I mean, you did introduce yourself as 'The Great Papyrus', and one doesn't simply earn that kinda title."

"I SUPPOSE NOT," Papyrus said contentedly. "BUT STILL! IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE! TWO PEOPLE OF CULINARY SKILL, STAR-CROSSED UNDER THE TWISTING DIMENSIONS! WE COULD SPREAD OUR DELICIOUS JOY THROUGHOUT THE MULTIVERSE!"

"Huh. Speakin' of multiverse and shiz, I wonder how things are back home," remarked Trashy, thinking for a moment how everything is without him or the militia.... Probably destroyed. Some rubble here and there.

"YEAH, I WONDER HOW THE OTHER MONSTERS ARE DOING," Papyrus said. "TORIEL AND ASGORE ARE TENDING TO THAT SCHOOL OF THEIRS... METTATON'S LIVING HIS DREAM OF BEING A STAR. I SUPPOSE NOW IT'S TIME FOR ME TO CHASE A DREAM OF MY OWN, EH? NYEH HEH HEH!"

Papyrus thought for a second. "WELL, I SUPPOSE IT'S THE CHILD-DREAM OF THE MINDS OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS AND KRONK," he added. "BUT STILL!"

A hissing sound emanated from the corridor

"WAIT... THAT FAMILIAR FOAMY HISS... CAN IT BE?" Papyrus asked, throwing the door open and peeking out into the res block.

A horrid mechanical being scrapped along the corridor, purple light emanated from its being as it skittered blindly, waving its foreceps, sharp legs like blades cut up the floor as it made a horrid gurgling sound, apparently in some sort of pain.

But it was not alone, a short skeleton limped his bones seemingly carved with ornate gold designs, he occasionally gave a fearful shriek when the skittering "thing" came close

"OH, BOY! IT'S BILLY MARROWS!" Papyrus said, clapping his hands joyfully together.

"Sk-ska-Skeleton!' the monster hissed his eye sockets shining a deep violet.

"OH, DEAR, YOU DON'T LOOK SO GOOD, BILLY," Papyrus remarked. "HOW ABOUT I BUY SOMETHING FROM YOU? GET YOU SOME MEDICINE OR SOMETHING."

The monster stuttered"Sa-sale- today-keeps the-th-reaper away" Then The many legged thing brushed past Marrows, "YOU WON'T HAVE MY MEAT SPIDER!" Billy screamed the gold carvings seemingly pulsing as he ripped out a ripbone as waved it like a knife.

Foamy in response shrieked and foamed waving its various misformed metal limbs.

"I THOUGHT YOU AND FOAMY WERE PARTNERS?" Papyrus asked. "NOW, HOLD ON!"

"Partners..." Marrows put a bony hand up to his skull.

"YOU RODE ON THE POOR CREATURE ALL THE TIME. HELPED YOU GET AROUND A LOT EASIER, MIGHT I SAY!" Papyrus explained.

"Fuh,fuh Foamy?" Billy said his "eyes" slightly fading into a reddish hue

"I THINK FOAMY'S A LITTLE HUNGRY," Papyrus said, oblivious to the fact that this exact same thing happened to Oboro. He plucked a spinach puff from Kronk's plate and waved it out to Foamy. "TRY THIS, MY CRABBY COMPATRIOT! IT'S A SPINACH PUFF! KRONK MAKES THE BEST! NYEH HEH HEH!"

The crab hissed biting the Spinach puff (almost taking off Pap's hand in the process), flavors swirled and mingled in the arthropod's mouth, it made a happy foaming sound as it ate it's metallic limbs finding their proper place.

Recognition dawned in the crabs eyestocks, and it skittered towards Papyrus.

Papyrus patted the Ussal crab on the head in between its eyestalks. "NYEH HEH HEH! NEEDED A BITE TO EAT, EH? OLD PAPY'S GOT YOU COVERED!" Papyrus declared, before turning to Billy. "SO! EXPANDING YOUR BUSINESS PROSPECTS, OLD FRIEND? I'M SURE FOLKS HERE WOULD DEFINITELY BUY MITHRIL WEAPONS! ...WELL, IF THEY HAD MONEY, OF COURSE... SINCE THE FEDERATION DOESN'T REALLY USE CURRENCY..."

Marrows clutched his skull the engravings giving him some sort of pain.

"DID YOU GET TATTOOS WHILE WE WERE AWAY? OH, DEAR, I COULD NEVER STAND FOR THAT," Papyrus said, just noticing the markings. "A NEEDLE ENTERING MY BONES... YIKES!"

"I have a tat, lemme show you. It's actually a skull!" said Trashy, about to unzip his pants.

"Danget Trashy I'm a skeleton and even I keep on my pants!" Marrows said his eyes returning to normal, "Keep those on, you'll scare away the customers!"

"Oh, okay," stated Trashy, before rolling up his left sleeve and showing the medium sized tattoo of a skull on his arm, "Anyway, nice tat right?"

The engravings started to fade as Marrows woozily stepped forward, "Looks kinda like a guy I met last September".

"A SKULL. VERY CLASSY," Papyrus remarked. "I LOVE IT!"

"Where...." Marrows began rattling his skull, "What happened".

"WELCOME TO THE ARCTIC FEDERATION," Papyrus said, thrusting his palm out at the expansive cavern and putting his other arm around Marrows. "I'M NOT SURE HOW YOU GOT HERE, BUT PRESUMABLY SOMETHING PULLED YOU FROM YOUR UNIVERSE! ...AGAIN."

"Heck of a head rush," Billy said while petting Foamy

Marcus Anderson could be seen walking out of a room about three doors away from the commotion, wearing nothing but a robe and holding a cup of coffee in one hand. He gave a quick kiss to someone else inside before the door slowly shut as he rubbed his eyes with his free hand.

Marrows saw Marcus, and never being one to miss out one a said straightened his cap and sauntered over to the man "Say good sir you seem to be a man of discernable taste, am I right?"

Marcus was startled by the sudden appearance of Marrows, before realizing he was wearing nothing but robes. He looked around for a second, snapping his fingers. A team of drones rushed to his side and dissassembled the robe whilst printing on his usual uniform attire within a second.

Before the drones left, one stayed to crack his knuckles and pop his neck for him before they all flew off, leaving Marcus there to take a sip of his coffee and reply with, "Howdy there. Ah ain't too sure what disaembler means, but ah reckon you bein' Marrows an' all, ya'll got yerself some maghty fahn goods ta sell."

"My name precedes me!" Marrows annouched as he climbed up on Foamy to meet eye level with Marcus, "And right you are, good sir. I have many things that with make your mind ZING!"

Small magical lanterns hovered out of the Marrows burlap sack and began to circle around the skeleton.

"Ten gold, for magic untold!"Willam said

"Ah'll take everythin' ya'll have that's magic," stated Marcus, snapping his fingers as a ceiling tile opened up behind Marrows, raining gold bricks for a few seconds.

"OOH! NOW SINCE WHEN WERE YOU INTO WIZARDRY?" Papyrus asked, intrigued by Marcus Anderson's curious purchase.

"Magic's a reserse that doesn't exist here in mah werld. So if ah can get me some ta further progress, then ah'm gonna get all ah can get," Marcus replied before taking another sip of his coffee.

Marrows took out the Burlap sack and opened it, pouring out countless, Spelunker Glowsticks,Strange Brews,healing potions, and Magic Lanterns, much more than it seemed possible fell out(the dimensions of the bag were too small).

"Pleasure doing buisness wit'cha!" Marrows said pulling the bag over the waterfall of gold bars.

"Lahkwise," declared Marcus as drones carried off Marcus's purchase to an unknown location.

"So what have you there Papyrus? Billy said pointing at the spinach puff.

"THESE ARE SPINACH PUFFS! A CULINARY CONCOCTION FROM THE LAND OF... MEXICO, WAS IT?"

"Peru," Kronk replied.

"Wait, I thought Popeye invented spinach," stated Trashcanhead, peering at a puff for a moment before swallowing it.

"Actually, spinach existed a long time before any of us were born," Kronk said, taking a bite out of a spinach puff.

Trashcanhead gasped, before looking down at another spinach puff and saying, "Dude... You just blew my fucking mind."

"TRY IT! YOU'LL LOVE IT!" Papyrus said, gesturing to the plate, as Kronk lowered it down so that Marrows could reach.

Marrows chuckled, "I'm sure they taste dandy, Paps, but I don't have any taste buds, nor a digestive system, thiss'l go right through me!"

"Yeah, Papyrus," said Trashy, his mouth full of puff, "Didn't you know skeletons don't have organs?" Trashy was unaware thatt Papyrus himself was a skeleton.

"This coming from a guy wearing a trashcan?" Marrows shot back.

"Your point?" asked Trashcanhead, munching on spinach puffs.

The skeleton realized that the point would probably be lost on Trashy so he did'nt answer.

"Oh shit, skeletons don't have ears do they.. Fuck, does anyone know sign language?" asked Trashy, looking worriedly at Marrows."

It looks like swears are used four times in this post, and by one character (portrayed in our collaboration by Zandoo).

Oh boy, it's Billy Marrows.

I'm not even part of DCVIII, I have no business dealing with it anymore.

Autoplays are incredibly annoying and potentially dangerous for headphone or loud-speaker users on the forum, plus it lags up the thread it's posted in.
Damaging someone's hearing or making someone jump/panic with a potential medical condition is a no-no.
