A parallel universe is a theory of a self-contained separate reality co-existing with one's own. A specific group of parallel universes is called a "multiverse", although this term can also be used to describe the possible parallel universes that constitute reality. While the terms "parallel universe" and "alternative reality" are generally synonymous and can be used interchangeably in most cases, there is sometimes an additional connotation implied with the term "alternative reality" that implies that the reality is a variant of our own. The term "parallel universe" is more general, without any connotations implying a relationship, or lack of relationship, with our own universe. A universe where the very laws of nature are different – for example, one in which there are no Laws of Motion – would in general count as a parallel universe but not an alternative reality and a concept between both fantasy world and earth.
The actual quantum-mechanical hypothesis of parallel universes is "universes that are separated from each other by a single quantum event."
- The Plot:
- The year is 7703, an alternative way of travel is invented by an alien race billions of years older than humans. This new way of travel can move the atoms of structures of all types across the universe beyond the fastest speeds possible. With the new invention on the market, every alien starts to travel across universes. Some did it for fame, others for fun. With all these new universes, who could imagine what is out there?

- No spamming, trolling or flaming as this may derail the thread and ruins the serious tone I want roleplay this to have.
- Be kind and respect the decisions, actions and posts of other roleplayers here even though you may disagree.

The mumage (moo-MAW-gay) are a peace-loving sort that keep to themselves in a remote corner of the galaxy. Most mumage view the existence of a larger universe past their own lush atmosphere as an odd but uninteresting aspect of the true nature of life, which can only be experienced by strict study and meditation. Before her 'death,' Mon Qee was one of the few who sought their personal fulfillment by looking outward, to the stars and their odd inhabitants, rather than inward to the self and spirit.
Biologically, Mon Qee is equipped with an arsenal of disciplined arts, though Mon Qee's talents fall short of the average for her species. The mumage calmly but relentlessly study the behavior of fluids and the nature of interaction with the environment. They have learned to perceive what many dismiss, to be quick without moving quickly, to be strong without being big. Mon Qee didn't make it far in her studies; she preferred putting those skills to work instead of honing what her teachers called the "deep understanding" of them.
"The Sense" allows Mon Qee to perceive subtle vibrations caused by nearby movement. "The Fold" is the mumage tactic of 'squeezing' one's body through the air to travel great distances in the blink of an eye. "The Flow" involves manipulating fluid currents and opposing forces to strike with great strength.
Mon Qee's lust for adventure came to a head in a desperate gambit to leave her isolated home planet. Without ship or radio, she waited long years for a flicker of life in the vast domain of the sky, and with a single step, flung her body into the blackness with nothing but a will to survive against the cold, breathless vaccuum of space. The visitors - a salvage crew from a distant empire - happened upon that frozen corpse and took it curiosly aboard, only for it to blink its eyes open and demand water. Mon Qee has walked the stars ever since.
Location: Hoborl Base 61, an interplanetary truck somewhere near the core of an elliptical galaxy.
