I don't normally enjoy many MMOs, although I just started play Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited earlier today. It's the most fun I've ever had with a MMO. I will admit WoW was fun for a little bit, but not fun enough to continue paying for the subscription price.

Forumotion modding is funny. When moving a topic, it asks if you want to leave a shadow topic. Hit the box next to where it says "no". You've made a duplicate.

If I get back into the game I'm going to start a new character. Since I'm a Bethesda whore I've got the explorers pack which lets me pick any race I please. Consider me a free agent when it comes to the faction.

I made an Old School (06-era) Runescape account recently. For PKing purposes.

I am currently playing Elder Scrolls Online for my PS4. I have a Wood Elf vampire, a Nord werewolf, a Khaijit, and an Argonian.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm a part of the Ebonheart Pact as a Dunmer Sorcerer. I play on the NA Megaserver.Punk Rock wrote:Dang son, me too. Which faction? Have (on PC NA megaserver) Orc nightblade on Covenant, Argonian Sorceror on Pact (with Resto staff), and I could scrape up a quick Altmer for the Dominion.

Re: What MMO do you play?
Aight then which faction shall I join is the question. Also what is the state of class abilities? What works what doesn't? I haven't played in over a year and got completely stomped on my veteran character when I attempted to return last month.

Re: What MMO do you play?
I haven't gotten to a point where I can play competitively. I also don't do so, typically. I'm an ES slut, love the lore.
Pact is good, and you get to see Riften and Windhelm later on. But you spend a lot of time in Morrowind, and the atmosphere can get pretty taxing after a while. Covenant has great landscape, but mostly forests. Good if you want a more traditional start. Haven't done dominion.

Re: What MMO do you play?
Dominion is 4 regions of boring green forest followed by a massive savannah desert. It's tiresome on the eyes after a while, but I feel like Dominion has the best quests out of all the three.

Re: What MMO do you play?
I'd prefer to stick with my Dunmer, but I'll create a new character if necessary. While I don't like the Dominion in general, having good quests would help improve the experience. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to play so I don't worry about what I say too much.
Two questions real quick as I am new to the game. First, I don't like ranged combat too much, but I almost always play as a mage-like character in RPGs and the such. Is it possible to be a Sorcerer, use a sword and shield, and still be effective? Second, while I don't normally do PVP in MMOs, I heard that there are castle sieges or something like that in this game for PVP. Is that an actual thing or did I hear wrong?

Re: What MMO do you play?
You can do that. It's really flexible. But either one or the other is going to be very weak. For instance, having magicka is good for your spells. A bigger magicka pool also makes the damage you do with staves stronger. For sword and shield, you'd need stamina for it to be useful (blocking uses stamina, and so do the abilities under that skill tree).
Higher magicka means you have the pool to frequently use your spells, but your weapons won't be as effective. Higher stamina means you can't rely on your spells, and are instead required to be used only to supplement your combat. Having a balance of both leaves you mediocre at both. You also want to dedicate some points into HP, so that you won't die in a single hit and receive better healing.
